I provide my students with a lot of choice in math class. I use a variety of different types of instruction. Some of those being fluency practice, online escape rooms, task cards, math games, and online checks for understanding. The more practice students get with a skill the more confident they become and their true understanding is shown. I make sure that my students know I am there to support them in being successful and teaching them multiple different strategies that they can then use when posed with a math problem. Perseverance is key in my lessons.
