About Ashley
I attended Williams College, the top liberal arts college in the US. I majored in Chemistry and received Highest Honors upon graduation. I worked as a Teaching Assistant for entry/intermediate-level chemistry courses for almost 3 years. I tutored privately and in groups for about 1.5 years in college, providing help with homework, test preparation, and lab reports. After graduating college, I worked as a chemist at a pharmaceutical company. Outside of chemistry, I have ample experience with high school, SAT, and GRE math and am more than willing to provide test prep help as well!

My area of expertise is in Organic Chemistry and can effectively tutor students working on their first and second years in university (intro/intermediate). I can also provide help with high school level and AP chemistry, as I attended a science-tech high school and took chemistry for 4 years. My tutoring style is quite flexible. I don't provide particular lesson plans. Instead, I like to go over the materials provided by the school (or test prep materials) to cater my teaching towards their lesson plans while providing my own input on the side in the event I have my own tips, tricks, and study methods. I expect students to ask the questions and let me know what areas they are struggling with so we make the most effective use of our time. I am always open to critiques and feedback so that I am providing the best type of help for each student. I recognize that everybody learns differently and am thus proactive at catering my help towards each student's needs and styles.
