About Joey
Looking for a dedicated Chinese tutor who not only excels academically but also lives and breathes the language? I scored an A1 for O-Level Higher Chinese, having studied Higher Chinese throughout primary and secondary school. Beyond grades, my passion lies in the richness of the Chinese language and culture. Since young, I’ve loved reading Chinese novels, essays, and classical poetry. Today, I continue to immerse myself fully through my current studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Singapore College of TCM, where all modules are taught in Chinese. My love for Chinese history, tea culture, and guqin further deepens my appreciation and understanding of the language.

I help students strengthen their composition and comprehension skills while building a genuine connection with the language. Lessons are customised to suit each student’s school syllabus, learning pace, and personality, blending proven exam strategies with storytelling, real-life examples, and encouragement. Whether your child is struggling or wants to excel, I offer a calm, nurturing environment that fosters clarity, confidence, and curiosity. I specialise in teaching both primary and secondary school students, especially those who find Chinese intimidating or dull.
