About Sommer
Hi! My name is Sommer, and I’m passionate about agriculture, animal care, gardening, and learning how to grow and care for plants and livestock. I enjoy working with animals such as poultry and small mammals and learning about their daily care, nutrition, housing, and overall well-being. I also have an interest in gardening and growing crops, including learning about planting, soil care, watering, and harvesting. I love sharing what I’ve learned with others and helping students develop practical agriculture skills while gaining a better understanding and appreciation for where food and animals come from.

My approach to teaching agriculture is hands-on, practical, and focused on helping students understand how agricultural concepts apply to real life. Lessons can cover topics such as caring for poultry and small mammals, basic animal nutrition and health, safe animal handling, gardening, planting and maintaining crops, soil care, and harvesting. A typical lesson may begin with an introduction to the topic, followed by demonstrations, discussion, and practical activities when possible. I tailor lessons to the student’s age and experience level and encourage questions and hands-on learning. My goal is to help students build useful skills while developing confidence and responsibility when working with plants and animals.
