About Victoria
Instruction should be a bridge between simple curiosity and technical capability. Do you wonder how to translate the music you hear into actual finger movements? I start by conducting a diagnostic skills check to build your custom lesson plan.
We will address fingerpicking, electric technique, and essential tuning and maintenance. My Bachelor of Arts in Music gives me a firm footing in theory. I utilize my 11 years of experience to teach ear training and lead guitar.
Blues progressions are a staple in my approach for intermediate to advanced students. I also prepare candidates for various grade exam prep requirements. You will gain a deeper understanding of your instrument. We can focus on the specific sounds you want to produce.

Teaching guitar helps me process the rhythmic complexity of my life as a musician. The warm glow of a well maintained fretboard reminds me of my time in various Melbourne studios. I often assist returning learners who need a clear path forward. Self taught players often come to me when they hit a wall. Having taught over 300 students, I see patterns in how people learn.
My 13 years gigging in the Latin scene informs my perspective. I prefer to keep my instructional style collaborative and relaxed.
