About Kevin
I have a degree in Mechatronics Engineering from McMaster University with a minor in Mathematics, and a Master's of Engineering in Robotics from the Institute for Aerospace Studies at the University of Toronto. Currently, I work as a Controls Engineer at MDA Space in Brampton, building robots that go to space.
I've always had a love for mathematics and STEM, and look forward to sharing that interest with you. Since I work as an engineer, mathematics and physics are the subjects that I am strongest in and practice frequently.
I'm the son of teachers, so my love of teaching and tutoring also started from a young age. I intend to do my best to help you achieve your learning goals.
I'm passionate about teaching and learning, and hope to bring my passion, care, and infectious enthusiasm about STEM to help you solve your problems and gain a deeper understanding.

I prefer a more collaborative and engaging approach. I want to hear how your mind works and explore topics with you, instead of just talking at you.
I also prioritize examples, either ones you bring me or ones I find related to our lesson. Finally, I'm not opposed to using other media forms based on how you best absorb information: if you absorb videos, I am happy to find videos that supplement our lessons, or visual drawings that can help illustrate concepts better.
I've tutored my friends in calculus, linear algebra, physics, and differential equations for undergraduate classes. Since I studied and work in engineering, I am also open to teaching any related engineering/STEM classes at a high school and/or undergraduate level.

I have known and studied with Kevin for many years and can attest that he is excellent at explaining math concepts! He is clear with his approach, patient with his teaching, and has a talent for understanding challenging math problems. Would highly recommend learning from him!
Kevin got me through my university years, even though I had untreated ADHD. I was misdiagnosed, and was struggling. I was incredibly hard on myself.
Kevin taught me patiently, and helped me gain my confidence back in mathematics, and myself, even without knowing all the details of my struggles. He explained concepts in several different ways, until I understood them.
He is excellent in various mathematical & statistical fields. He has tutored me in advanced linear algebra, calculus, and even helped me with projects involving computational modeling software (R, Matlab) and writing proofs.
