About
Hi, I’m Luke. I’m a recent A-level student with strong academic results, including A* in physics as well as A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, and strong GCSE grades including 9s in Maths and Biology and 8s in Physics and Chemistry.
I offer tutoring in GCSE Maths and Science, with a focus on helping students understand difficult topics, improve their exam technique and become more confident with past-paper questions.
As someone who has recently been through GCSEs and A-levels, I understand how stressful exams can feel and how important it is to have explanations that are clear, simple and tailored to the student. I aim to make lessons supportive, focused and easy to follow.
Alongside my studies, I have worked in responsible, people-facing roles, including as a lifeguard and in café/barista work, which has helped me develop strong communication, patience and reliability.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, whether they want help understanding difficult topics, improving exam technique, or building confidence before assessments.
In the first lesson, I would identify the student’s strengths and weaker areas, then create a clear plan for improvement. Lessons would usually involve explaining key concepts in a simple way, working through example questions together, and then helping the student practise exam-style questions independently.
I focus on making sure students understand the method rather than just memorising answers. For GCSE Maths and Science, I can help with topic revision, past paper practice, mark scheme technique, and building confidence with harder questions.
My aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, while also keeping lessons focused and productive.
