About Rachel

After spending seven years working in a Primary school in England, I decided to take a break and see the world. During this time I found various volunteering opportunities to teach Children and Adults English for free and open up their future opportunities. This allowed me to gain experience in the real world and understand different cultures and how it is to learn English as a second or third language. I have now returned home where I work in Children's residential care to support their day to day well-being and education and also tutor online in my free time.

About the lesson

Choose from one, one and a half and two hour lessons depending on your preference and schedule. Learn a range of techniques to both thrive in regulated exams but also apply it to real life situations. I am a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with seven plus years' experience in teaching Year 6 (10-11 Year Old) to assist with SATs tests. My lessons are for children aged 11 and under for Maths, English Grammar, Writing and Grammar. I can also teach English as a foreign language to people of all ages and abilities.

I worked with Rachel in an International English Teaching volunteer program. I saw first hand her ability to work with young people of all ages and abilities to an extremely professional standard. She’s calm, composed and always approachable for all students. With her many years as a school teacher her knowledge and understanding of tutoring dynamics is of an exceedingly high level, and would be an asset to any personal tutoring needs.
