I teach algebra using day to day objects like Cups as a visual description of a "variable". I also use and utilize your water bill as we discuss concepts of volume (cubic meters). I use python matplotlib library so that you can visually see how a function looks like when plotted or graphed. Using Math is Fun as reference and can be resourceful in finding ways that you can love Algebra specially the linear equation y=mx + b.
