My approach in face-to-face and online lessons is exactly the same. I break problems down into steps, I often find that asking questions is enough for students to work it out themselves. I am a visual teacher using the whiteboard for any explanations. I am calm, friendly and always encourage my students to be honest and tell me when they don't understand.
