About Fangying
I am a 4th year dental student studying at the University of Manchester. I have over 6 years of tutoring experience teaching students of all ages and abilities. My passion in tutoring has allowed me to help other students to gain confidence and enjoyment in learning! I strongly believe that students must develop valuable skills to become independent life-long learners.

Learning is a life-long process and most of the effort is made through the students outside of lessons. Therefore, I aim to help develop student's curiosity, critical thinking and problem solving skills which allows them to learn independently.
With my passion and enthusiasm I help students to develop their own areas of interest within their subjects. I appreciate each student is unique with different needs, and learning styles. Therefore adaptability, patience, and good communication skills are key! Practising real exam questions allows students to apply their knowledge and identify any knowledge gaps. It is also important to build a solid foundation and engaging seminars can allow students to solidify their knowledge, I always encourage students to be curious and ask questions.
At the end of each lesson I will always encourage the student to self reflect on their learning and also ask for feedback. I may also set homework and send extra resources to allow students to practise and solidify their knowledge.
