About Blake
My name’s Blake and I am in the unique position of having transitioned from being a Secondary School Teacher to becoming the founding director of an AI consultancy. I was surrounded by burnt-out teachers who just wanted to focus on the classroom, but outside the classroom were drowning in paperwork they didn’t receive additional time to complete. This often resulted in needing to work at night or on weekends. I didn’t want any part of it. I wanted to be a teacher, spending time connecting with the students, facilitating a positive learning environment, and modeling a healthy, balanced lifestyle. If you’re a teacher, you know exactly what I’m talking about. Luckily for me, I have an extensive technology background and would always apply it to my teaching practice. Most days, my administrative tasks were complete by lunchtime, which meant the rest of my day could be focused on doing what I personally enjoyed, which was finding unique and interesting resources to show my students. Each lesson, we follow the same framework used by my AI consultancy (OFO Collective).
1. We identify the largest bottlenecks (e.g. lesson planning, unit planning, report writing, creating presentations, resources etc.).
2. We define what a high-quality version of this looks like.
3. I walk you through the most effective ways of completing this task more efficiently using AI software.
I have experience working as a secondary teacher and know the ins and outs of the education system. Not only was my teaching documentation high quality, it was always on time and I had significantly more time than my colleagues to focus on the most important thing: teaching.
I can guarantee you that you will need to keep these skills to yourself, because as you know, when you work well as a teacher, your load increases. The great thing is, you'll be able to handle it.
