About Catharina
My name is Catharina van Elk, I am an artist based in London. I have a degree in Design for Art Direction, with a practice in photo manipulation and manual darkroom techniques. I am accredited in both Photoshop, InDesign and have been tutoring for 3 years. Lessons are inclusive for all and are tailored to suit the student's needs. I understand the need for patience and flexibility in teaching styles. My approach is generally to help students understand what they're doing, rather than just memorising it.

Typical lessons can range from 30 minutes to an hour. From beginner to proficient. I have a degree in Design for Art Direction from UAL and am Adobe accredited in Photoshop and InDesign. Lessons will focus on the application of Photoshop tools, rather than learning every component individually. This can help with not only memory, but also critical understanding of the tools for one's creative practice.
