About Journee
I underwent my undergraduate education in Texas. I was an NCAA student-athlete and maintained a 4.0 throughout the degrees (English and Pre-law). I moved abroad to the UK to attend a Russell Group school, the University of Bristol, for my MA in English Literature. The multicultural experience and exposure to the British system has given me a rounded approach and understanding of my field. I attended the University of Exeter (a Russell Group School) for my PhD in English. I have a passion for the field and enjoy teaching/tutoring others!

My approach is based off of your personal needs and goals. Depending on your needs, I can explain concepts, answer questions, teach methodologies, or offer feedback on assignments. I take a range of approaches to reinforce learning, including interactive discussion, test prep, drafting exercises, and hands-on learning. My approach is to assess the student's current skill set and create scaffolded sessions for them personally.

In many different settings I have observed Journee draw people of all ages into her love of words! She can help the most determine to give up and truly love literature. She is well rounded: piano and violin, versatile athlete , intrigued with science and bakes a delicious apple pie. Best of all she has high standards and up holds the ethics of using your own words to express ideas, emotion and debate. Be prepared to love word, books and puppies.
