About William
Born and raised in upstate NY, I grew up always interested in science and technology. My first choice was to be an engineer, but after taking a coding class in college my first semester I was hooked.
I hold an Associates degree in Computer Programming from Sullivan County Community College in NY. I am trying to find work again in a field that allows me to utilize my skills in code.
I like superprof because it allows me to teach something I'm passionate about as a side gig while still pursuing my own career.

My lessons are meant for people who are new to programming concepts. This includes those who have been coding for less than 6 months, those just beginning a college degree this year, or an individual with any number of reasons to begin their journey down the rabbit hole of code and software now.
I only ask bring your desire to learn. I love to help people with new things, but you can't necessarily make a horse drink if you lead it to water, right?
I teach topics such as programming fundamentals in either Java or Python for absolute beginners up to the basics of web development with one of two stack types (Java or Python backend) for the more well versed.
I am more than willing to assist on homework or projects for your classes, but please let me be clear; I will not do the work and hand it to you completed. I am here to walk you through solutions and give you the answers from time to time (if you are apparently stuck) so that the process of thinking about how to program is that which we remember.
