About Nadège
Ph.D. in Astrophysics graduated from the Paris-Saclay University, I have been teaching in higher education since 2014.
My teaching experience has taken several forms: tutoring in Physics for first year students of Preparatory Classes for Grandes Ecoles (CPGE) of 'les Ulis' (PCSI) within the framework of the program 'Les Cordées de la Réussite', a university teaching experience (practical works in electrostatic and magnetostatic, courses and tutorials in special relativity, tutorials in analytical mechanics) in second and third years of Bachelor at the Paris-Sud University and in particular at the 'Magistère de Physique Fondamentale d'Orsay' but also several experiences in scientific popularisation ('Programme d'études intégrées' of Sciences-Po Lille for deserving high school students under conditions of resources, public conferences at the Palais de la Découverte in Paris, scientific activity leader for the SpaceBus France association).

Before any teaching of the subject or the working methods, I try to understand what are the expectations of the pupil / student (and the parents) regarding the private course. Is it about overcoming difficulties, progressing or even improving oneself? So, as you would expect from a private lesson, I easily adapt to the profile of the pupil or student. The first session aims to identify expectations and difficulties, to define objectives and to set up the learning method adapted to the profile of the pupil or the student.
I attach great importance to a deep understanding of the course so that the exercises can then be tackled with ease. For this, I take as a basis the course initially given in class by the teacher in order to keep the points of reference and take it up to see the concepts which pose problem and clarify them. My experience of scientific popularisation for the general public enables me to make understand abstract concepts whatever the level of the pupil or the student is. I then bring additions that may be missing in the course to make it more intelligible. However, training and practicing of exercises are also necessary to test one's understanding of concepts and mastery of techniques. I therefore also take up the exercises given by the teacher to identify the difficulties or to ensure that their understanding is deep and not superficial and based on mnemonic mechanics. I can give additional exercises to vary the difficulties and check that the student is comfortable with all the concepts and techniques that he is supposed to master. It is once this deep understanding is established that I unveil the ropes of these standard exercises and give a method for tackling supervised works, exams or competitive exams.
Passionate about mathematics and physics, I have a big scientific culture. This will enable me to put the knowledge I learned into context and to show its applications, especially in my favorite field which is cosmology, in order to give meaning to the learning of these subjects. I therefore intend to give back the taste for physics and mathematics to anyone who has lost it or even never found it!
