Hi, nice to meet you!
My name is Sherry, as a native speaker who comes from the Guangdong province of China. I am fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
I majored in Chinese Language and Literature in college, so I am well-versed in the Chinese language, literature and culture.
I understand that learning a second language is different from learning a mother tongue. Students may experience negative transfer from their native language and need to adapt to new knowledge in the second language. Don't worry, I have extensive experience in teaching Chinese as a second language and in intercultural communication.

I hold the Chinese Teacher Certificate issued by the Ministry of Education of China, the Certificate for Teacher of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages(CTCSOL) from the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, and Mandarin Proficiency Certificate.
I have two year of experience in teaching Chinese in an educational institution. I currently offer Mandarin course for both children and adults. For children, the courses include basic Mandarin conversation, Pinyin, GAPSK. For adults, the course include HSK preparation, Mandarin conversation and pronunciation, as well as Cantonese.
My Chinese classes are relaxed and enjoyable. Whether you are a child or an adult, I will provide you with a personalized learning plan tailored to your Chinese proficiency, learning needs and interests.
In the beginner's class, I will use English as medium language, so don't worry about communication issues.
