About Jonathan

As a dedicated student and musician, I understand both the challenges and rewards of learning something new. I earned my Associate of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies while continuing my education in Nursing, demonstrating the discipline, time management, and commitment I bring to every goal. In addition to my academic achievements, I perform with the El Paso Symphony Youth Orchestra, the UTEP Concert Band, and the UTEP Flute Studio, experiences that have strengthened my leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

I was also a member of a competitive Pom and Drill Team, where I developed a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with others toward shared goals. Balancing academics, music, and dance has taught me how to stay organized, responsible, and focused under pressure.

Because I am still actively learning myself, I connect well with students and understand how to explain concepts in a way that feels approachable and encouraging. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to build their confidence and help them develop skills that will benefit them far beyond the classroom. Students and parents can trust that I come prepared, stay professional, and genuinely care about each student's success. Whether we're working on academics or music, I am committed to creating a positive, respectful, and motivating environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and reaching their full potential.

I believe learning works best when students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My lessons are relaxed, interactive, and tailored to each student's needs. We'll work through concepts together, practice problem-solving, and find study strategies that make sense for you. Whether you need help with elementary or middle school subjects, or you're just starting out on flute or clarinet, my goal is to help you build confidence, stay motivated, and enjoy the learning process while reaching your goals.
