I offer professional, well-structured clarinet lessons designed to build confidence and strong musical foundations from the very beginning. Each lesson is carefully planned and tailored to the student’s age and learning style, with an emphasis on proper instrument setup, healthy embouchure, clear tone production, and consistent practice habits. I provide patient, encouraging instruction in an organized and supportive learning environment, ensuring students understand both how and why they are learning each skill. Parents can expect clear communication, realistic goals, and steady progress, while students gain the confidence and independence they need to succeed in school band and beyond.

1. Instrument setup & care
Students learn how to safely assemble their clarinet, care for their reed, and hold the instrument correctly to avoid bad habits and frustration.
2. Tone & embouchure development
Proper embouchure and breathing are taught from the beginning so students can produce a clear, controlled sound early on.
3. Reading music & rhythm
Students are introduced to basic note reading, rhythm counting, and musical patterns in a simple, understandable way.
4. Playing notes & simple songs
Students learn their first notes and immediately apply them to short, recognizable melodies and exercises.
5. Practice guidance
Each lesson ends with clear, achievable practice goals so students know exactly what to work on at home.
