About Tina
My goal as a tutor is to make every student feel welcome, supported, and understood. I know the education system isn’t always flexible for different learning styles, so I tailor each lesson to you—not just to the curriculum. I don’t believe in simple memorization. My Approach:
My main approach is a dynamic, hands-on tutoring style that keeps students engaged but if you already know what works for you, then we can do that too! I like to vary the types of exercises we do—written, oral, interactive, creative—so that learning stays interesting and tailored to each student. I also try to tailor the teaching style to the learner’s own pace, challenges, and goals.
Who My Lessons Are For:
I tutor youth at the primary and high school levels in core French subjects such as grammar, conjugation, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and written expression.
I also support adults who are learning English as a second language, whether they are complete beginners or looking to strengthen their communication skills.
In addition, I offer corporate translation services and can draft or review formal bilingual communications for professionals in the business and tech sectors.
My Teaching Methodology:
A typical lesson begins with a brief discussion about what the student wants to focus on. From there, we dive directly into the material, and I adjust the depth, pace, and type of activities based on their needs.
Whenever possible, I ask students to share the exercises or topics they want to work on in advance—this allows me to prepare answer keys, complementary exercises, and deeper explanations or tips to support long-term understanding.

Patience and adaptability are at the core of my teaching. I am committed to creating a comfortable, welcoming and accepting environment where students feel supported, never rushed, and always encouraged. My bilingual background in both academic and corporate settings also allows me to offer a well-rounded perspective, whether the goal is school success, professional communication, or personal language growth.
