About Pearl
I am an English major and young chef who also has an immense passion for teaching. As a native English speaker who was thrown into the French curriculum at the age of 11 , I know firsthand the struggle that comes with learning a new language. Now 10 years later I speak French fluently and have lived in France for over 2 years, I would like to pass on my knowledge and expertise on anything that has to do with the French Culture. I like working with children because I feel young minds have so much potential, and older kids don't particularly enjoy learning new vocabulary through song (haha). But in all seriousness no matter the age of the student, I tend to adapt my teaching strategies that it is best suited for their personalities.
During my time in Paris i specialised in French-English & English-French translation. 2 years experience in tutoring and childcare.

As a recent graduate myself I know what it feels like to need extra help when it comes to education. I try to make learning a fun and interactive experience for all my students.
Studying in the United States, France,Nigeria, and the United Kingdom has given me a good understanding of diverse educational systems and ways of learning. Therefore I try to implement them in my teaching in order to figure out which works best with a student.
I believe in bringing creative approaches to learning a language that is not only academic but immersive into the Culture that is being taught.
