About Giannina

I'm Giannina, a bilingual university professor, writer, and dedicated mentor with over ten years of experience teaching Spanish and supporting students in academic and creative writing. I specialize in working with heritage speakers—students who grew up around Spanish but may not have had formal instruction—and help them reclaim and strengthen their voice in the language. As someone who understands what it's like to juggle multiple identities, expectations, and rhythms (especially with neurodivergence, chronic fatigue, or anxiety), I strive to create a space where students feel seen, encouraged, and challenged in the right ways. Let's make language your strength. Whether you're polishing your Spanish, unleashing your creativity, or crafting essays with clarity, I'll be in your corner. Message me to book your first session!

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and goals, whether that involves building a solid foundation in grammar, expanding vocabulary, enhancing conversational fluency, or crafting effective essays and personal statements. I bring a creative and intuitive approach that meets students where they are, especially those who have felt disconnected or overlooked in traditional classrooms. For heritage speakers, we often focus on reconnecting with the language and gaining confidence in both formal and informal registers. For writers, we might build story structure, clarify voice, or learn how to edit for impact. Whether you're preparing a scholarship application, getting ready for college, or trying to express yourself with more ease, I'll help you tap into your strengths and grow with intention.
