About Avery
I earned my Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences from the University of Oregon and took part in student science fairs, biology outreach programs, and youth learning workshops. With more than seven years of tutoring experience, I’ve taught beginners, advanced learners, and students who simply needed a friendly guide. I make Biology understandable by connecting every concept to real life. Microbiology becomes relatable when we discuss how microorganisms influence food, health, water, and the environment. Cell Biology becomes clearer when students learn to imagine each cell as a tiny, purposeful world.
Genetics becomes exciting when we explore DNA, traits, and inheritance. Physiology becomes meaningful as we learn how organs and systems work together to support life. Molecular Biology becomes approachable when I walk students through each step—how DNA becomes RNA, how proteins are formed, and how cells function.
Biotechnology becomes inspiring when students see how science is shaping medicine, farming, and global innovation. I always encourage questions, re-explain concepts without judgment, and allow students to choose the lesson times that suit them best.
