About Julie
I established my own business in 2017 and have been tutoring since January 2019; however, I have been guiding and teaching colleagues since 2001, in basic business, accountancy, bookkeeping and insolvency.
I followed a traditional academic route: GCSEs, A-Levels, Degree.
Once entering the world of work, I started on a professional career path in finance.
I remained with the same organisation for 18 years, where I studied for the examinations of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants [‘ACCA’] and qualified in the summer of 2004, winning the Gold Medal of the final professional stage exams, ahead of 30,000 candidates globally.
As I specialised in Insolvency in my career, I took a year off from studying before commencing the notoriously difficult Joint Insolvency Examination Board [‘JIEB’] in 2006.
My “pass first time” record remained unblemished as I received my JIEB results in March 2007, qualifying as an Insolvency Practitioner.
Having had a career in Insolvency as an appointment taker, a life changing experience in my personal life, made me re-think about what was really important to me.
Now I am a part time Insolvency Compliance Officer for a firm of Insolvency Practitioners and I run NAJT Limited, my business, on the other days.
Wanting to help students and businesses achieve their goals in a positive and constructive way, my pragmatic approach helps businesses now and bookkeepers and accountants of the future.
