I’ve been studying with Joo for the past eight months now, and I can honestly say that I’ve never encountered a teacher who puts more effort, thought, and consideration into her teaching technique. She is extremely knowledgable in Korean and has been able to teach me many aspects of the language. I now feel confident enough to actively participate in conversations in Korean. Joo goes beyond teaching you how to read, write, listen, and speak (all of which I’m comfortable doing now because of her). She will also aid in your comprehension of pronunciation, grammar, slang, and cultural aspects in Korea. I am very grateful to have her as my teacher, and I will continue to take classes from her until I’m completely fluent in the language.

Joo is an excellent tutor if you are wanting to learn Korean! She has a very structured and supportive teaching style and explained her approach clearly in our first session. Her materials and lesson plans allow me to practice grammar, reading, speaking, and listening! She is very supportive as she guides and corrects me. She also adapts the pace of each session to my needs and is patient when I need more time or explanations about certain topics.
