About Mariana
Hi, I'm Mariana and I love English Literature (despite hating it earlier!) and would love to help others realise their potential and hit the higher grades.
English Literature is a tricky subject to work with and the subjectivity of the course makes the exam requirements quite confusing sometimes, however I was able to use specific techniques that allowed me to not only improve my writing, enjoy reading and studying, but also see a genuine improvement on accessing the higher grades. After successfully getting an A*, I am now happy to also spread these techniques for other students to use.
I am very happy to help with GCSE History, English Literature, English Language, and Maths, of which I took as A Levels and got As in. Therefore I can help GCSE level students improve on their writing, analytical skills, and critical thinking.

- I have gone from a C to an A* in English Literature, so can help students master the grade boundaries, and making the process more self-learning so they can make improvements outside of the tutoring sessions.
- The typical length of the lesson ranges from 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your preference.
- I have experience with younger children, and have tutored a 7 year old boy with basic English and maths for the 7+.
-I have achieved a strong A* in OCR A level English, and am studying Law at Bristol, so I have great reading capabilities and lots of efficient tips to improve writing instantly.
- I can tutor A Level students in English, and tutor GCSE students in History, English Literature, English Language and Maths.
-Please note for history, that I can mostly help with essay and exam tutoring rather than general history lessons due to different exam boards and topics.
