About Aliya

Hi, I'm Aliya! I am a graduate BSc Psychology with Criminology student with four years of proven experience in the tutoring industry.
I am based in Swansea SA1

Having achieved top grades in my own GCSEs—including a 7 in English Language and a 6 in Mathematics—I know exactly what examiners look for. My psychology background enables me to design lessons centred around effective cognitive learning techniques, helping students retain information better and approach exams with confidence. I am also fluent in Spanish, Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu, making me highly adaptable to bilingual households.

About the lesson

I provide structured, 1-to-1 lessons tailored entirely to the student’s specific educational goals. I specialise in: Breaking down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps.

Adapting dynamically to new subject requests and specific exam board criteria. Teaching vital exam techniques, time management, and revision strategies. I pride myself on being patient, organised, and encouraging. Let’s work together to hit your academic targets!

Aliya's response
English comprehension is definitely a strength, SPAG needs work - will do this by creative writing exercises, math also needs work and i will do this by using practice papers for questions and explaining to her what the best way is to solve them.

We highly recommend Aliya for tutoring. She is very professional, patient, knowledgeable, and has really helped build my son's confidence and understanding. She provided tailored support with the right approach, which helped my son to excel in science and maths. We've seen a huge improvement in both his progress and his attitude towards learning. We couldn't thank Aliya enough for all her hard work and support.
