About Virginia
Welcome!
I am an aspiring barrister who recently completed the Barrister Training Course and graduated with a Distinction (Outstanding). After achieving a high First-Class degree in my LLB, I went on to complete a Master’s degree in Law at UCL.
My interest in teaching began during sixth form, where I supported students with English at my local primary school. Since then, I have continued to enjoy tutoring and helping students build confidence in their abilities. I am outgoing, approachable and aim to make lessons engaging and productive. I tailor my approach to students' needs and formulate bespoke lesson plans, in line with assessment criteria and students' goals.
While my academic background is in Law, I also tutor GCSE English, where I am able to apply the same skills developed through my legal training. Whether teaching Law or English, my focus is on clarity, confidence and helping students achieve strong results in a supportive environment.

GCSE - English, Law:
For GCSE students, my focus is on building strong foundations, confidence and exam technique. I aim to make sure students understand not only what to write, but how to write; in a way that meets exam criteria.
In Law, this includes understanding legal principles, applying them accurately and structuring answers effectively. In English, I focus on clarity of expression, argument development and responding precisely to questions.
I will need to be told the exam board before we begin.
A-Level - Law:
For A-Level Law students, my teaching is focused on depth of understanding, application and exam performance. I help students move beyond surface-level knowledge by developing clear legal reasoning, accurate use of terminology and structured answers that meet assessment criteria.
I identify gaps quickly, challenge weak areas directly and ensure students leave with a clear understanding of how to improve. My approach is suited to students aiming for strong grades and greater confidence in legal analysis.
Like GCSE, I will need to be told the exam board before we begin.
Undergraduate - Law:
During my undergraduate, I gained 75s and above in the majority of my modules, developing a strong appreciation for writing with confidence, clarity and a consistent 1st class 'feel'.
At undergraduate level, my teaching ranges from essay planning and structure to developing a deeper, more confident understanding of core legal principles.
I cover all core modules required for a Qualifying Law Degree. I am also happy and confident to support a range of additional modules with advance notice. My Masters in Law has made me well-rounded and I have experience ranging from intellectual property, trademark and company law to family, medical and human rights law as well as jurisprudence and social justice.
BTC - Barrister Training Course:
For students undertaking the Barrister Training Course, I am able to offer support in advocacy skills and legal analysis. I am able to support students with the skills required for opinion writing, drafting and oral advocacy preparation, drawing on my own experience of completing the BTC.
