About Joshua
I am originally from Canada, but moved to the UK this year to be with my wife. I studied Mathematics at Nipissing University before starting a career in engineering then returned to school to study Civil Engineering at Carleton University. I spent 10 years working as a Senior Designer on projects ranging in value from $10K to $1.7Bil. Beyond designing I was also tasked with training staff both one on one and in large groups on best practices for efficiently using technology in design. It is during this time I found a passion for helping other people learn and develop their careers. I am well educated in a variety of subjects but I am most enthusiastic about Maths and Physics. I have written papers about Mathematics Anxiety, covering the causes, prevention and strategies for overcoming the stress of maths.

Josh brings a creative approach to his vast knowledge range on maths and science. His background in engineering means he is able to explain practical applications of theory far beyond what is in the curriculum, making the subject come alive for his tutees in fresh new ways.
