About Marshall
I am a passionate musician with 10 years of cello playing experience. I have studied cello performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (Conservatoire) in Cardiff and BMus Music at Cardiff University. I achieved grade A in music at A level and grade 9 at GCSE. I have experience teaching cello to both beginners and conservatoire level students, as well as music theory. I am dedicated to providing a student centred education and a safe space to explore and learn.

My lessons are focused on working towards your goals - are you looking for your first cello teacher? I can teach you the fundamentals from the very beginning even if you’ve never touched a cello. Do you want to work through ABRSM or Trinity grade exams? I can help you through picking pieces and learning them along with the other exam elements like aural tests. Do you want to prepare pieces for an exam, audition or recital? I can help you learn pieces and get them to a level you are happy with.
My aim is to help people improve and achieve their goals at their own pace.

As an adult I have always been curious about learning an instrument and learning some music theory and Marshall was a great first teacher! I was slightly nervous going in but he was very reassuring and took everything as slow as I needed.
