About Michael
I am an Experienced English Second Language Instructor with a strong track record in remote teaching and a background in philosophy and education. I have been teaching English for several years, working both remotely and in-person for the past 7!
I have worked with thousands of students from all over the world, including Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, etc. I've probably had a student who speaks your native language!
My goal is to continue making a positive impact and provide students with the tools they need to succeed. Skilled in English, Business English, TOEFL, Teaching English as a Second Language, and IELTS.
I have a strong educational background including a Bachelor of Art's from the University of Minnesota in Cultural Studies, as well as a CELTA course graduate (University of Cambridge).

As an ESL tutor, I emphasize interactive learning methods for practical language acquisition. This includes using real-world material from the place where you live! Lessons include review, interactive activities, and balanced skill development.
A typical lesson plan will include an introduction and warm-up, followed by a real-world example related to your life and English goals. After some exercises together, there will be a 5 minute feedback session to show error correction and steps for outside of class learning.
I'm different because I've taught thousands of hours of classes to students all around the world! I can estimate your English level within the first 5 minutes of our class, and also see what areas of improvement you need to work on.
I can teach to any level of English, but prefer serious students who are willing to work hard to achieve their English goals!
