About Yasmina
Hi! I’m Yasmina, a CELTA-qualified English teacher based in London. I’ve been teaching English for 4 years and what I enjoy most about teaching is seeing students become more confident and comfortable using English in real life.
I have an international background and have lived and studied in several different countries, including Ukraine, the US and the UK. Because of this, English has been a huge part of my life, and I know from my own experience what it’s like to learn and use a language in completely different environments.
I know that learning a language can sometimes feel intimidating, so I try to make my lessons relaxed, friendly and encouraging. I’m very patient and I genuinely want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

My lessons are practical, interactive and always adapted to the individual student. I try to create a relaxed atmosphere where you feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes, while still making sure every lesson has a clear purpose and you can see your progress.
I use a communicative approach, so I focus a lot on helping students actually use English rather than just memorising grammar rules. Depending on your goals, we can work on speaking, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, listening or exam preparation. I also use real-life materials and topics that are relevant to your interests whenever possible.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes, although I’m happy to adapt this depending on what works best for you.
I’m CELTA-qualified and have been teaching English since I was 16. I’ve taught both individual students and groups, online and in person, with learners of different ages, levels and backgrounds.
