About Kate
Hello, my name is Kate, and I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature. I have many years of teaching experience, having taught students from various backgrounds, including foreigners, Chinese-speaking individuals, and students of all age groups. I worked as a Chinese teacher at a college before. And I hold a teaching certification in Chinese, as well as a Mandarin proficiency certificate.

As a certified educator, I, Kate, believe that teaching Chinese is not a "one-size-fits-all" process. I offer two distinct tracks to meet different learning goals:
Track A: The "Elite Literacy" Path (For Heritage Learners)
Specifically for students aiming to match the proficiency of their peers in China. We use China’s National Curriculum (部编版), focusing on deep reading, formal writing, and classical literature.
Track B: The "Fluency & Fun" Path (For Non-Heritage or Interest-based Learners)
For students who want to master Chinese as a second language without the stress of domestic textbooks.
Method: I use the "Communicative Approach," focusing on HSK/YCT standards.
Tools: We use engaging materials like "Easy Steps to Chinese," interactive games, and multimedia resources to build confidence in speaking and listening.
Goal: Real-world communication and acing international proficiency exams.
