About Alex

Hello! My name is Alex, and I’m a certified language teacher with over 15 years of experience helping students master English and Russian.

I hold a university degree in English and Russian from Rostov State Pedagogical University (Faculty of Slavic and West European Philology) and specialized qualifications in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language from RUDN University, Moscow. I’ve also earned an EF SET Certificate at the C2 Proficient level (79/100), confirming my mastery of English at the highest international standard.

My teaching journey began in 2000, and since then I’ve worked with students of all ages and backgrounds — from young children in language clubs to adult professionals in large corporations. For seven years, I taught at the Moscow Metro Educational Institution, where I trained over 2,000 employees, helping them gain confidence and fluency in English for their work and daily communication.

I’m passionate about what I do, and I truly care about my students’ progress. I believe that learning a language should be an enjoyable, supportive experience — not a stressful one. That’s why I create a relaxed atmosphere in my lessons, adapt to each student’s pace, and celebrate every step forward, big or small.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, exploring new cultures, and spending time with people who, like me, believe that language opens doors to new worlds.

I’d be honored to be part of your language journey. Let’s learn together — with confidence, clarity, and a smile

I believe that learning a language should be natural, enjoyable, and practical. That’s why I use the communicative method in my lessons — we focus on real communication from day one. You won’t just memorize grammar rules; you’ll actually use the language in meaningful conversations and real-life situations.

What my students say:
“His innovative teaching approaches, patience, and ability to link lessons to my individual needs have significantly contributed to my language proficiency and cultural awareness.”
— Professor Amitabh Anand, Ph.D, HDR (Excelia Business School, France / CIAS, Hungary)

My Teaching Techniques

- Personalized lessons: Every student is different. I take time to understand your goals, interests, and learning style, and I tailor each lesson accordingly.
- Speaking first: I encourage you to speak as much as possible — even if you make mistakes. That’s how confidence grows.
- Balanced approach: We work on all key areas — speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and pronunciation — in a natural, integrated way.
- Authentic materials: I use articles, videos, dialogues, and real-life scenarios to make learning relevant and engaging.
- Clear structure, flexible delivery: Each lesson has a clear goal, but I’m always flexible to follow your pace and needs.
