About Alex
I have a degree in Marine Biology and a Masters in Primary School Teaching. I've Taught Science, English Surfing and Music in remote Samoa and Indonesia while working for surf resorts for the last 6 years. I have 2 years experience with Rackleys Learn To Swim at Miami pool and hold a current Bluecard.

Any effective teaching is fostered by meaningful communication and developing good rapport with students. I've applied this to teaching surfing, science, music and english to a wide range of ages from 6-60. A student centred approach with humanist characteristics is my style but there are various times where rote learning or teacher directed strategies are useful.
