About Matisse

I’m Matisse, a certified French teacher from Alliance Française with 500+ lessons taught.

I’ve helped adults and professionals from all over the world break through the “I understand but I can’t speak” barrier and start using French in real-life situations.

I’m passionate about languages, travel, and real-life communication. My goal is simple: to help you feel comfortable and confident speaking French from the very first lesson.

Lessons are conducted in French, English or Spanish, so you never feel stuck or embarrassed asking questions.

You learn at your own pace, with a clear structure that keeps you progressing without feeling overwhelmed.

If you’re an adult or professional who wants to stop studying French and start speaking it, I’d be happy to guide you step by step.

About the lesson

Start speaking French confidently from your first lessons.

Whether you’re just starting or already advanced, I adapt each lesson to your level and goals so you can progress quickly and naturally.

➤ With me, you will:
• Speak French more naturally and confidently from the first lesson
• Build vocabulary through real conversations
• Sound more fluent and authentic in everyday situations
• Make real progress with structured practice and personalized feedback

➤ How we work:
• You speak from the beginning
• I guide you with a clear structure
• I correct you at the right moment
• You improve step by step, without pressure

After each lesson, you receive personalized PDF notes to review and progress faster.

I also prepare students for exams (DELF, DALF, TCF, TEF) with targeted practice and clear strategies.

Ready to start? Book your first lesson and let’s speak French :)

I took a few lessons before travelling to Paris. Besides improving my French, he also shared helpful advice thanks to his experience in a travel agency, which made planning my trip much easier.

Found Matisse on iTalki and honestly, he’s been a total gem. I love that he’s not stuck in the past - he uses cool tech and apps during lessons which makes things way easier to wrap my head around. I travel a ton, so we clicked instantly. What’s really cool is that it’s not just him teaching me; he’s actually curious about the places I’ve visited and we just end up having these great deep dives into different cultures. Every lesson feels super personal and tailored to what I’m actually into, not some boring textbook stuff. If you want a tutor who’s actually a vibe, go with Matisse

Matisse is a fantastic teacher who really knows how to get you speaking. We met through iTalki.
In my case, I had a pretty rough time with previous tutors/teachers, but Matisse hit the mark perfectly. He’s very supportive and never makes you feel bad for a wrong word or a shaky sentence. I love how he keeps me engaged by asking thoughtful questions - I’m basically talking for the entire session! There’s always a sense of genuine curiosity from his side, which makes the lessons feel very natural. He’s definitely a tutor I’m happy to keep coming back to!!
