About Leonore
Hello and welcome to my profile. : ) I'm Leonore, a certified translator and language trainer, and I have given one-to-one language lessons to pre-school children, school children, university students, business people and retired people from all five continents for more than three decades. I always preferred giving one-to-one lessons because the student benefits so much more. I grew up with English and German and went to a private academy for interpreting and translating. I am very well versed with the grammar of both languages - English and German. I've also worked as an editor and proofreader for more than 15 years and have written a grammar book about the German articles. My biggest asset, however, is that I truly love teaching. : )

During my lessons I focus on a student centred teaching style and I am emphasising all four abilities "speaking", "listening", "reading" and "writing". In a 1:1 approach I can tailor the lessons to the student's pace and I can fully concentrate on supporting this one student in the best possible way. Many of my students prepare - as external students - for the Goethe-Zertifikat with me and I am very proud that 99% of my students who successfully passed their exams at one of the Goethe Institutes all over the world (on all levels, A1 - C2) have reached "sehr gut" excellent results. My subjects are German and English language training on all levels A1-C1 as well as Business English and Deutsch für den Beruf. One lesson with me lasts 60 minutes.
