About Tavinda
I am a recent MBA graduate, specializing and management and marketing. I studied Chemical, Biomolecular and Mechanical Engineering for my undergraduate education. I currently teach Regents level math and sciences. I have worked professionally as a teacher in a school, and have been a graduate and teaching assistant during college where I taught math, chemistry, physics, and a business communications class. While I also tutor ELA, I prefer math and sciences, and can tutor from middle school to college students.

I adapt my teaching method based on the abilities of my student, and focus on helping students create a strong foundation upon which to proceed in the area of study. I always give a thorough lesson on each topic, and usually write notes for my student to refer back to as I teach. I will also refer back to previous lessons in order to ensure students do not forget prior topics and to keep them familiarized with the material, since most newer material builds upon basics. I will also spend more time on areas of struggle for the student in order to help them feel more at ease with the topic, as students tend to develop fears when they are unable to overcome complex topics.
