About Sahiti
I am a recent graduate from the University of Connecticut, obtaining two degrees: one in Chemistry and one on Molecular and Cell Biology (May 2024). I will be matriculating into the University of Connecticut School of Medicine starting Fall 2024.
I love teaching and have incorporated it into the majority of my life - my first job was teaching math at the Mathnasium of Avon! From then, I have tutored a variety of subjects in undergrad and led courses as a student facilitator.
Working with students is a great passion of mine and I would love the opportunity to continue doing so! As a tutor, I will do my best to make sure the student has confidence in their skills and learn to love learning - just like I do.

As a seasoned tutor who worked at Mathnasium, tutored college athletes at the University of Connecticut, and has led other undergraduate courses, my approach focuses on making sure the student is able to teach me the concept!
In a typical session, I like to go through the lesson and make sure the student is able to explain the principal ideas and how to solve problems to me.
As a tutor, I focus on making sure the student is comfortable asking questions - fostering this learning environment is very important to me.
I primarily teach middle school and high school. I can also teach undergraduate courses as long as I have context beforehand about the content.
