About Water

你好哟，我未来的学生，我有着丰富的专业知识，与之相对的，我平易近人，我会让我的课程轻松愉快，帮助你轻松掌握中文。语言是用来交流的，我会让你在玩耍中掌握这门语言。哈哈。中文就是我的母语，你还能学到很多课本中没有的地道表达和口语习惯。

About the lesson

I employ a Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach, with a core philosophy of "learning by doing." My classes are highly interactive and student-centered, designed around real-life scenarios (e.g., ordering food, asking for directions, business meetings), role-playing, and task-based activities to facilitate natural language acquisition over rote memorization. I seamlessly integrate technology tools (e.g., Quizlet, Padlet, Baamboozle) to gamify learning and utilize differentiated instruction strategies to cater to various learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic), ensuring every student is effectively engaged. My lessons follow a clear PWP model (Presentation, Practice, Production), ensuring a structured and goal-oriented learning experience: • Lead-in (5-10 mins): An engaging Q&A, quick game, or short video activates prior knowledge, introduces the topic, and creates a positive Chinese-speaking environment. • Presentation & Practice (20-25 mins): New vocabulary and grammar are introduced naturally through contextualized examples, guiding students to deduce the rules. This is followed by progressive practice, moving from controlled exercises (drills, repetition) to meaningful practice (information-gap activities, picture descriptions). • Production & Review (10-15 mins): Students creatively use the target language in a comprehensive freer practice task (e.g., planning a trip, debating a topic). The lesson concludes with a collaborative review and a practical homework assignment (e.g., sending a voice message in Chinese). My unique value lies in building a two-way bridge between language and culture. 1. Deep Cross-Cultural Empathy: My personal experience as a language learner allows me to deeply understand student challenges, enabling me to anticipate and resolve confusion stemming from cultural differences. 2. "High-Energy, High-Support" Classroom Culture: I excel at creating a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where mistakes are not only tolerated but celebrated as crucial learning steps. My classes are known for their positive energy and laughter. 3. A Designer of Personalized Learning Paths: I never teach with a "one-textbook-fits-all" mentality. I take the time to understand your career, hobbies, and goals to tailor-make learning content, ensuring your Chinese learning journey is truly unique. My courses are designed for: • Proficiency Levels: Learners of all levels, from Absolute Beginner (A0) to Advanced (C1). I specialize in building a solid foundation for beginners and helping intermediate learners break through plateaus. • Demographics: ◦ Adult Learners (university students, professionals, enthusiasts): Offering tailored courses in General Chinese, Business Chinese, and HSK/HSKK Test Preparation. ◦ Teenagers (12-18 yrs): Utilizing project-based and gamified teaching methods integrated with pop culture to maintain engagement. • Format: One-on-one tutoring and small group classes (max. 6 students) to ensure personalized attention.
