About Sarah
I took private lessons throughout middle and high school, and then reaped the benefits in college, where I studied with Cynthia Greider of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic. Under her tutelage, I won the Manchester Symphony Orchestra's student concerto competition with the Copeland concerto (you should go listen to it if you are unfamiliar--it's amazing!) and had Debussy's Premier Rhapsody on my senior recital.
I also did plenty of successful all-county/all-district/all-state auditions (made all-county and all-district every year eligible, with multiple first chairs, and Virginia all-state my junior and senior years)

Practice is key to improving at anything, but it's important for practice to also be fun! Scales and technical exercises are important, but I will intersperse them with repertoire that is fun and entertaining was well.
I will emphasize tone quality and technique (including proper fingering selections) for all levels, as both are a continual journey.
