About the lesson

College Coursework Essays: for students struggling to write a paper for class
- Start by looking at the assignment guidelines, the professor's syllabus, and any examples or notes taken by the student about the assignment to determine parameters
-Collaborate to create a logical outline and organization for the essay, molding the student's ideas into a crafted narrative
- Provide revisions over drafts, checking for grammar, sentence structure, and suggesting changes in wording
- Turn in a completed essay!

College Application Essays: for high school students preparing to apply to one or more universities
- Start by discussing the student's goals, including where they want to attend school, what program they plan to pursue, and their motivation for following that path
- Discuss possible topics with the student based on their interest and background. I have several templates that the student can use to share some of their interests so we can put together their own story.
- Help the student through the drafting process, including multiple rounds of revision to fine-tune the speaker's voice
- Submit applications and wait for the acceptances to roll in!

Personal Statement/Statement of Purpose Essays: for those who are applying to graduate schools, scholarships, or fellowship positions
- Start by discussing goals with the student, as well as determining if the program has any given parameters
-Use one of my templates to share more about your life so we can pick the details that create the most detailled and compelling version of you for the committee
- Draft, draft, draft the essay,including multiple rounds of revision to make sure your personality shines through
- Wait for the "yes"'s to appear in your inbox!
