About Alex
I am a recent college graduate living in Ohio! I spent the first four months of 2021 working with Americorps in Napa, California. During that time, I worked with kindergarten and 1st grade students as an assistant classroom teacher. I now work for a local school as an educational aide, using similar skills to make sure students understand what they're learning in school. I love working with children and can't wait to meet my new students!

I love to do hands-on work that helps students visualize the concepts they're working on. By having students use physical objects in their environment to demonstrate the skills they're learning, students will retain more than by just using worksheets or flashcards. I also enjoy using media that the students enjoy to personalize lessons and help students to be more engaged.
