I like to give students tools to solve problems rather than just an answer. This means I focus on concepts as a whole and explain WHY things work to develop a deeper understanding. I also find multiple ways to explain the same concept until one clicks. Math builds on itself, so I will make sure you have a strong foundation before we move to higher levels.

I used to sit in class and zone out because my teacher made no sense. Alex has helped me go from hating math to actually thinking it's kind of fun... Whenever I don't understand something she explains it differently until it makes sense. I'm expecting to get an A this semester! She's super nice and overall a great tutor.
