About Jakob
I went into year 11 being predicted to get 5s in maths and science, when I found out about this I realised I had to start revising, but, with so much content to relearn, I sat staring at my screen for an hour wondering where to even start. When I finally started, I did so by answering questions and I just couldn’t. Like many other people I just couldn’t wrap my head around it because it was just numbers and letters. But when I went into detail about what it's used for in the real world it helped me understand the concept, which helped me answer the questions and apply it to other subjects.

- As someone who was failing science and getting 5s in maths at the start of year 11 to getting 9s and 8s on result day, I realised that the way the school curriculums teach subjects isn’t the way students learn. I believe that concepts should be explained in detail and given real world examples - 45 minute lessons - 9-9 in Science and 8 in maths at GCSE - 14-16 years old (GCSE students)
