About Jiya
I am a student at Durham University who has tutored in the past. I have mainly tutored younger children including those who were taking their 11+. I am happy to tutor older students, however. I achieved A* A* A grades at A levels for Geography and other essay based subjects.

My teaching method aims to explore what students are interested in, and use that as a base to build on. I encourage pupils to try and figure it out for themselves at first, before helping them. After this, I work with students to come up with strategies that they can continue to utilise when they come across things they are unsure about. I then encourage students to consolidate the things they found difficult before our next session.
