About Mansoor
I’m a Software Engineer with a BSc in Computer Science (Computing for Business & Management) and over 8 years of professional software development experience.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked on web applications across a range of industries, using technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Ruby on Rails, HTML and CSS. I’ve worked on everything from smaller web applications to large-scale software used by international organisations.
I also have experience mentoring and supporting other developers, sharing technical knowledge and breaking down complicated programming concepts into understandable steps.
Outside of my professional work, I’ve helped family members, relatives and friends learn programming from the basics. I enjoy helping people who may have little or no previous coding experience build their confidence and understand not just what to do, but why it works.
Whether you’re completely new to programming, studying Computer Science, learning web development or looking to improve your existing skills, I’m happy to help you progress at a pace that works for you.

I tailor lessons to the individual rather than taking the same approach with every student. We’ll start by looking at your current experience, what you want to learn and what you would like to achieve.
I believe programming is best learned through a combination of clear explanations and practical experience. We can work through concepts step by step, use real-world examples and then apply what you’ve learned through exercises or small projects.
I’m happy to slow down and explore a topic in more depth when needed. There’s no expectation that you should already understand technical terminology, and I encourage questions throughout the lesson.
Lessons can cover areas such as JavaScript, HTML and CSS, web development, React, TypeScript, programming fundamentals, debugging, Git and general software development. I can also help Computer Science students and aspiring developers understand how the concepts they are learning relate to professional software development.
Most importantly, the lessons will be based around your goals and your current level of experience.
