About Jacob
I trained at Oxford and Yale Universities and the Royal Northern College of Music. I am currently a Young Artist at the National Opera Studio in London, specialising in piano accompaniment. I have taught in schools across London as well as privately.

I will show you building blocks of great piano playing. 1) How to hear music in your head and understand how it's constructed. 2) Technique, developing a strong piano hand and good coordination with the brain. 3) Reading and analysing music, what are the elements that make a score? 4) How can we use these skills to express feelings and connect with humanity.

Jacob has been teaching piano to my 6 year old daughter for over 18 months now. Jacob is an excellent teacher who is exceptional in the subject, considerate, punctual, patient, trustworthy and attentive. I really credit him for keeping my daughter engaged, interested and happy during her lessons.
