About Simmy
I’m a Contemporary Music degree graduate from UCSI, with Yamaha Advanced Certificate (Grade 5) and ABRSM Grade 8 certifications. I have experience across a wide range of genres, including classical, film, jazz, pop, and funk, and have spent over 10 years performing and producing pop & children's music—something I love bringing into my lessons.
I’ve taught students from as young as 6 to adults in their 20s, from diverse backgrounds and interests. I’m also familiar with various exam boards, including ABRSM, Trinity, and Rockschool, and can guide students based on their individual learning paths.

What makes my lessons special:
Sing & Play
Learn to sing while playing chords! Build coordination, confidence, and musical expression beyond piano (or you could opt to learn just piano too)
Play by Ear
Train your listening skills to pick up songs you love and play them without relying on sheet music.
Stronger Reading Skills
Pick up practical tips and patterns to read music more quickly and naturally.
Creativity & Imagination
Use storytelling, visuals, and creative exercises to make music more meaningful, memorable, and fun.
I believe every student is different, so I tailor each lesson to their strengths, pace, and interests to help them grow with confidence in a supportive environment.
My goal is simple: for my students to truly enjoy music, express themselves freely, and discover who they are through the learning process.
