Hi. I'm Ms. Shani. I use Best Practice methodologies and techniques to teach students with Special needs including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning challenges. In my 30 years as an educator, I have worked with pre-school children to college students with various disabilities including those who are non-verbal or who engage in self-injurious behavior. I use visual schedules, token boards/ token systems, PECS, Augmented Communication Devices, visual aids, graphic organizers, music, videos, puppets, dance, sports, art, and more to reach my students. I am also trained in Lindamood Bell and Barton dyslexia curricula commonly used for reading intervention.

Shani was such a wonderful trainer for my autistic son.
She was always organized, prepared, and punctual for his lessons; and was able to show him the solution every step of the way in such a small detail with a friendly approach so my son will not get frustrated during a therapy.
In addition to that, she was always flexible and simplify the lessons so that my son is able to understand what he is being asked to do.
